Rickety Town
What goes up must come down - Rickety Town is a fairground in the center of CarnEvil, located between the Big Top and the Freak Show. The player explores most of the rides and attractions here, the only exception being a rocket next to Krampus's snowglobe ice rink. Betty shows up the least here, only appearing twice.
Rickety Town is the only level to contain the Acid Bath powerup. It is also the only level whose rhyme uses the rhyming scheme AABB rather than ABCB. |

Slay Ride
Enemies: Termite, Tinsel
Powerups: Machine Gun Music: The Slayride An unfinished wooden roller coaster. The main character gets on the ride, but upon seeing it is broken gets off and hops into the Big Bunyan Ride nearby. Betty appears on the cable car during the carriage's ascent, and at the top of there is a Machine Gun powerup. The presents the Tinsels throw can be shot repeatedly to be 'juggled' and rack up points. |
Big Bunyan Ride
Enemies: Termite, Smilin' Bob
Powerups: Acid Bath Music: Big Bunyan Ride (Part 1) A ferris wheel with a statue of Paul Bunyan next to it. While on the ride the only enemies are Termites, but once the player gets off Smilin' Bob appears. Above a sign advertising Smilin' Bob there is the first Acid Bath powerup of the level. This kills enemies in one hit so don't waste it. It has eighteen shots. |
Dinorama
Enemies: Termite, Carnie
Powerups: Health, Acid Bath Music: Big Bunyan Ride (Part 2) A tilt-a-whirl inhabited by Rickety Town's mascot, Carnie the Dinosaur. The camera gets pretty crazy here, so don't get dizzy. An Acid Bath powerup is located at the entrance to the ride, and a Health powerup is located when you get off inside a detached egg carriage. |
Food Court
Enemies: Guilloteen
Powerups: Machine Gun Music: Big Bunyan Ride (Part 2) The player then enters the Food Court ran by the Guilloteens. They throw food and punch. Like the Tinsel's presents, the food can be juggled for bonus points. There's a Machine Gun powerup on the right side of the Corndog stand. Betty appears next to a Guilloteen at the Burrito stand. Not to be outdone by the Big Top's poster, the sign on the Pizza stand is also backwards. Dumb Guilloteens. |
The Garage
Enemies: Smilin' Bob
Powerups: Acid Bath Music: The Garage A 50s-themed bumper car track made in hell, and far worse than any mini-boss Rickety Town could have had. You will likely lose a life here as the cars do ridiculous damage and if you don't kill the Smilin' Bob driving it from a mile away he won't be completely dead and can still hurt you. Even the Acid Bath powerup located near the gas pump might not help you here since that takes a while to kill someone. There's one you can't stop hitting anyway, since it's from behind. Excellent music though. |
Slay Ride part 2
Enemies: Tinsel. Termite
Music: Big Bunyan Ride (Part 2) After crashing through the Garage wall, the player finds another part of the Slay Ride and gets in. For some reason there's now rings of fire and some of the track has caught fire too. There will be a Tinsel in the back of the carriage and on the tracks. Some Termites also appear at the top of the track, and others fly by but they do not attack. At the end of the ride it's time to fight Krampus. |
Krampus (Boss)
Music: Krampus on Ice
Krampus appears from his throne atop the ice rink's Christmas Tree decoration and chases the player on his ice skates, only stopping to attack. Including the starting point, there are five locations he will stop at, before he will go back to his place in front of the Christmas Tree. The sequence will repeat until he is defeated. He mostly attacks with his claws or hitting the player with his bag. It is recommended that you try to interrupt his claw attacks by shooting at his arms and legs to make him flinch, as it is his most powerful attack if all his hits land. His vertical claw slash can hit both players at once. The order of his claw slashes can be random, and he may stop after only slashing once or twice, so we cannot say how much damage it will do. At one point during the battle the player will go up a hill and Krampus will throw hot coals at him. The coals can be shot at to stop them hitting. Krampus can only be damaged when he is stationary. Shooting at him while he is skating does nothing, not even award points. Like Hambone, shooting at his legs will make him fall over and he will be unable to attack until he is standing again. His battle is the only one that can 'loop', because of this he can be defeated at any area, even as soon as he shows up, as he is not killed by a part of the background like the other bosses. When he is defeated he falls over and it begins to snow. |
