Shoot Hidden Powerups for Health and Awesome Firepower! -Cabinet Bezel
Within a level you can find powerups to restore your health, or help you better destroy enemies. This guide will tell you what they are, how many shots they have, and where you can find them.
NOTE: All powerups, except the Clip Upgrade, cannot transfer from one level to another. If you finish a level with ammo left on your powerup, it will be lost.

HealthThe player improves his health by shooting heart-shaped symbols. Then, restored and fortified, the player dares to plunge forth into the next, nightmarish territory. (manual) Restores part of your health gauge. How much it restores is affected by the setting Player Starting Health.
Number available: 9 Stages: Haunted House (3), Rickety Town (1), Freak Show (3), Big Top (2) |
Shot GunUpgrades your gun to a full-fledged shotgun. Generally kills enemies in one shot.

Acid BathA powerful upgrade that shoots acid and kills enemies instantly.

Flamethrower
Upgrades your gun into a flamethrower. Flames take longer to 'reach' enemies than regular bullets, but do more damage (apparently). Does not kill enemies in one hit.
